The Argus Panoramic Nightvision Goggle (APNVG) is an innovative goggle system designed to enhance a user's field of view. Unlike typical monocular or binocular systems with a 40-degree field, the APNVG boasts an expansive 97-degree panoramic view. Achieving this widened perspective, the APNVG employs four image intensifier tubes, ensuring an expanded field without sacrificing system resolution or collimation.

The central two tubes, aligned in parallel and facing forward, contribute to depth perception, enhancing perceived resolution and acuity by enabling stereoscopic vision. Meanwhile, the outward-facing tubes on each side significantly augment peripheral vision, creating a total of three distinct circular fields of view for the user. This design optimally enhances the overall visual experience, offering unparalleled situational awareness.
